Stopped Flow Diode Array

The SX20 Applied Photophysics Stopped Flow Diode Array Spectrophotometer rapidly mixes two solutions (for example: (i) protein and ligand or  (ii) enzyme and substrate). The Instrument can take 800 spectra per second using its 512 diode array system or take 4000 data points per second on single wavelength mode. It also has fluorescence features. An ideal instrument for examining reactions that occur in the millisecond time scale.

Laser Flash

The Applied Photophysics LKS80 Laser Flash has a 10 nanosecond (ten billionths of a second) high-intensity laser flash using a 4 watt YAG laser. It can take 20 million samples per acquisition, examining reactions can take only a few hundred nanoseconds to several seconds
